Staff

Our team members are college-aged adults who are responsible, faithful leaders. We hold extensive application, interview, and background check processes on all employees. Our counselors are strong role models who love to be silly and have tons of fun!

Staff - sambica girls
Safety - Banana

Safety

Safety is our top priority. Rest assured that when you drop your camper off at SPARK Camp, our staff will work around-the-clock to ensure safety in activities, at the waterfront, and with each other. All of our staff are First Aid/CPR Certified and go through extensive safety training and background checks.

Faith Focus

Childhood is a vital time to ask the Big Questions and explore faith. We give campers a space to do just that. Because SAMBICA's vision is to inspire youth to a relationship with Jesus Christ, daily Bible studies will be run by counselors making space for campers to ask questions and share their thoughts.

Store and Extras

The camp store, SAM's Place, is a camper's dream come true: candy, snacks (healthy ones too!), clothes, stickers, and toys galore. Add funds to your camper's store account when you register or at daily drop-off. Consider adding an exclusive SAMBICA Care Package or Pin Trading Kit - a hit with all campers!

SPARK FAQ's

SPARK has the same awesome counselors, activities, and games as other SAMBICA camps but spends most of the time at Sunset Elementary and is for grades 1st - 5th. Because SPARK is lower in cost from other camps, campers bring their own lunch and boat and swim on two days instead of five.

SPARK campers will bring their own lunches and eat picnic style. An afternoon snack will be provided by SAMBICA each day.

Campers will have a morning field activity session (inflatables!) and an afternoon activity each day at SAMBICA. Each week, one day’s afternoon activity will be swimming and one will be boating. In all, SPARK campers will spend 10 hours during the week at SAMBICA and the rest of the time at Sunset Elementary.

Campers will exit Sunset Elementary at the back of the playground and field area and walk down the paved I-90 trail to the SAMBICA field. It is a mere 60 yard walk. We measured! Counselors and Leaders will walk right alongside of campers.

Yes! The traditional SAMBICA Carnival will happen during the day on Friday. There is no Thursday evening or overnight option as part of the SPARK program.

Scholarships
