Welcome to the Team
Welcome to SAMBICA! We're so glad you're here!
I've been hired! Now what?

God is inviting you to experience more of His love and power than ever before. He has GOOD PLANS for you and you can seek Him and know Him as you prepare to come this summer.

  • Ask God how He wants to grow you this summer.
  • Ask God what He is uniquely calling you into this summer, what strengths you are bringing to the team and how He wants you to contribute.
  • Ask God what He wants to reveal about Himself, and dream of ways that you would love to experience God.
  • Pray for the hearts of the campers who will be at SAMBICA, for their faith to deepen, for their hearts to be receptive to the Gospel, for their eyes to open more to how God is speaking.
  • Pray for the Summer Staff, for unity and community to build beautifully. For cohesive teams and joyful relationships.

Make your travel plans, solidify what dates you're planning to work, and plan for what you want to bring to camp with the help of the packing list below!

Check your email for details on everything you need to complete before arriving. The emails will be from Phoebe Robinson via Campsite. They will instruct you on all necessary paperwork, on arrival details, and opportunities to connect with the team!

Post-Hire FAQ's

Staff training is required for will take place before camps start. If you know that you cannot attend staff training in part or in full, you are still encouraged to apply. Some exceptions can be made. If hired and cannot attend our First Aid and CPR training, we would require you to attend a First Aid and CPR training class near you at your own expense. There may be additional requirements depending upon position.
No. We will send you information to get certified prior to training with an online course. All you need to do is send in your course completion and you are good to go!
Yes, we do offer Lifeguard Training at the beginning of staff training. If you are hired as a lifeguard, the waterfront training will include two full days of lifeguard certification. If you have already been certified in Open Water Lifeguarding, please provide a copy of your certification.
New tattoos and piercings are a health issue for our summer team. Majority of our activities  involve the Waterfront. Lake Sammamish is a fairly clean lake, but infections can still occur. By choosing to get a new tattoo or piercing during the summer, you open the door to getting an infection that could prevent you from doing your job. You are welcome to have healed tattoos and piercings prior to employment with SAMBICA.
Weekends are off from 8:30pm after our Friday Celebration meeting until 5:30pm for the start of our Sunday Night Meeting. Depending on your position, daily schedules have different opportunities for short breaks. Additionally, during Day Camp weeks, evenings will have opportunities for rest as well as opportunities to attend a variety of staff events.
Many of our summer staffers are locals or have brought a car. Most often, as you make connections with the team, there are plenty of people offering to give rides to church. If you can't find a ride, connect with a Full-Time member and we'd be happy to help! Some of the churches in the area that people tend to go to include Mosaic Community Church, Reach Church, Timberlake Church, and Churchhome.
