Ignite Discipleship Program

Equipping high schoolers to passionately pursue Jesus by igniting their faiths, awakening their identities, and illuminating their God-given purposes. 

Ignite is designed for high schoolers with an on-fire faith for the Lord.
We desire for participants to have a passion for growing deeper with Jesus as they live our their faith in the context of high school.

From October through March, participants will attend evening sessions at SAMBICA led by Full-Time team members. They will dive deeper into relationship with the Lord and build community with one another through a variety of different activities and teachings.

Leading up to the new year, students will be equipped for a life changing trip to Israel where they will get to see their faith come to life as they visit various biblical sites.

Upon return, sessions will continue as the focus shifts towards how we live out our ignited faith back home.

Phase 1: Spark

• Answering the question: "Who is Jesus, and what does it mean to have faith in Him?" 

  • Designed to spark the foundations of students faith in preparation for the life-changing trip ahead.

Phase 2: Ignition

• Answering the question: "How does walking in Jesus' footsteps change the way I understand Him?" 

  • Designed to ignite faith through tangibly experiencing the historical sights, sounds, culture, & context of the Bible!

Phase 3: Burn

• Answering the question: "What does it look like to live out my faith in Jesus throughout my everyday life?" 

  • Designed to teach students how to continually live a life "on-fire" for Jesus in their own contexts.

Phase 1: Spark (October 2026 - December 2026)

• Bi-weekly "IgNights", gatherings hosted at SAMBICA on Monday nights from 6:30pm-9pm.

• Includes activities, food, worship, teaching, and small groups.

• Dates: October 12, October 26th, November 9th, November 23rd, December 7th

Phase 2: Ignition (December 27th 2026 - January 5th, 2027) 

• Trip to Israel! All participants in Ignite are expected and encouraged to join us on this once in a lifetime trip!

Phase 3: Burn (January 2027 - April 2027)

• Monthly "IgNights" at SAMBICA on Monday nights from 6:30pm-9pm. Exact dates will be set based on group availability.
  

Passages Partnership:

SAMBICA has partnered with Passages Israel, to facilitate a once in a lifetime trip for our high school participants this December.

SAMBICA has a history of organizing incredible trips through partnering with Passages. In both 2022 & 2023, Passages facilitated trips for SAMBICA’s college age discipleship program, where over 50 students got the opportunity to visit Israel on a very similar itinerary as is planned for this upcoming trip.

The trip this year is designed to deepen the faith of our high school participants by providing the opportunity to visit many different biblical and historical sites across the nation of Israel. Passages has crafted a unique itinerary specifically for High School students to maximize their experience on this trip.  Participants will have the opportunity to visit these locations with knowledgeable guides that provide nuanced learning and bring the Bible to life in a way that no other experience can.

We have seen the way this trip has impacted our College Students in years past, and our prayer is that now our High School students leave this trip with a deeper understanding of the Bible and a profoundly grounded reality of their faith that propels them into their next season of life!

• Student Trip Cost: $940
  
• Locations: Students will visit a variety of biblical and historical locations around Israel from the Galilee to Jerusalem and more!
• Led and Organized by Passages, accompanied by Ignite leaders from SAMBICA's staff

We recognize that the state of Israel has been a focus of major world events in recent years and we want to make sure our students and their families feel well equipped for a trip like this. Passages has a great FAQ page you can check out!

Program Cost: $200 

• Covers food, activities, and staffing costs

Participant Trip Cost: $940

• Covers everything! Flights, accommodation, food, travel, etc.

• Students have the opportunity to fundraise this portion, and SAMBICA can help provide resources for how to do so.

• The usual trip cost would be around $9,000 (Passages and SAMBICA are partnering to heavily subsidize the trip for Students)

In spring of 2023, we had a dream to equip high schoolers who are passionately pursuing Jesus to be bold ambassadors in their spheres of influence. We wanted them to know God, stand firm in Him, and take action.

Our first group of IGNITE students started in the fall of 2023. 3 years later, in February 2026 we have now completed Ignite 3.0 with a third consecutive mission trip to Mazatlán, Mexico. It has been a joy to see these students grow in their personal relationship with Christ through participating in Ignite and going all in both at home and on mission!

For the upcoming Ignite 4.0 (2026-2027 school year), God has opened an incredible door to be able to take High School students on a once in a lifetime trip to Israel. We are expectant that this trip will ignite faith by bringing the Bible to life!

As Ignite continues to evolve and grow, we are excited to watch God move in high schoolers hearts as they grow in faith through life changing experiences, and are tangibly equipped to walk in boldness in their communities year round!
