To equip high schoolers who are passionately pursuing Jesus to be bold ambassadors in their spheres of influence.

In spring of 2024, we had a dream to equip high schoolers who are passionately pursuing Jesus to be bold ambassadors in their spheres of influence. We wanted them to know God, stand firm in Him, and take action.

Our first group of IGNITE students started in fall of 2024, and we just completed our second successful year with our capstone trip to Mazatlán in February 2025. It is a joy to see these students grow in their personal relationship with Christ as well as boldness in sharing the Good News of Jesus to people they meet, whether it’s on the streets of Mexico or in their local communities.

We are expectant to meet the IGNITE 3.0 participants and watch God transform their hearts throughout fall of 2025 and in Mazatlán in February of 2026.

  • Who is God? Why does that matter?
  • Identity in Christ
  • Worship/Communing with God
  • Community
  • Reading the Bible
  • Types of Prayer
  • Finding and Understanding your Purpose and Calling
  • Going out to All Nations

Ignite is designed for high schoolers with an on-fire faith for the Lord, and a passion to grow deeper with Jesus as they navigate their faith in the context of high school.

  • October through January, participants will attend 10 sessions hosted at SAMBICA on Monday nights from 7:00-9:00PM every other week (with a break for Christmas and New Years).
  • Learning spiritual disciplines and life-practices for your current season of life through teachings, small groups, and mentorship.
  • A life-changing capstone missions trip to Mazatlán, Mexico in February of 2026.

October-February: attend biweekly sessions at SAMBICA on Monday nights to here teachings on the five pillars of Ignite/topics and break out into small groups to digest the content in a more intimate context.

Mid-February: embark on a 10-day trip to Mazatlan, Mexico to partner with local ministries and put the five pillars of Ignite into practice.

March: attend final reunion session to debrief the trip and Ignite program as a whole.

SAMBICA has partnered with YWAM Mazatlán for the past two years to facilitate life-changing trips for our high school participants.

This trip is designed to deepen the faith of the participates while encouraging them to step outside their comfort zone by sharing the Gospel with strangers and friends.

Students will have the opportunity to serve in local ministries, learn from YWAM staff, and try out street evangelism.
