SAMBICA Stories

I came to SAMBICA the summer after my 7th grade year. I was un-churched with no Christians in my life at this point. At SAMBICA I heard the Gospel message for the very first time and prayed to accept Jesus as my savior. I now have had the privlege of sending my own children to SAMBICA!

- Emily, camper in 1985

Summer of 1985. I was counselor. We decided to wake all the kids up at 2:00 AM (jr. high camp) and get them to the mess hall for an hour of skits and music. The next morning we denied the whole thing happened. But eventually we had to fess up.

- Sandi, Summer Staff 1985

I used to come to Camp SAMBICA by taking a ferry boat over to the Kirkland area before the bridge was built across Lake Washington.

- Robert, camper in 1946
