SAMBICA Support Programs

Reaching out into the community to build stronger relationships.
The mission of the SAMBICA Community Outreach Program is to provide a place where the community (children, teens, young adults, and adults) can experience a “break in the storm”. We provide facilities and programs to these groups in the hopes that stronger community and family relationships are built.

Programs include:

  • Refuge (teens in 8th – 12th grade)
  • Kid-Focus
  • Friends of SAMBICA Community Events
  • Women’s Retreat
  • Man Camp
  • Monthly Men’s Breakfast (4th Thursday)
  • Seasonal Community Events
  • Family Camp
  • Other (events and programs will be added as monies become available)

Educational Programs
From time to time SAMBICA partners with area organizations to offer educational opportunities to families. When we’ve got something new going, it will be posted here. If you have a suggestion for an educational opportunity please contact us at (425) 746-9110 or .

Refuge – High School Leadership Activities

Immediately following the bi-monthly bash event is Refuge. Refuge, began in September 2008, is open to all 8th – 12th graders. This is a chance to connect, learn, and support one another in a close environment.

As teens, you face some huge decisions and pressures each and everyday. Often, as you may have already figured out, it’s confusing and difficult to make decisions and withstand the constant peer pressure. Perhaps you feel alone and confused. SAMBICA wants to provide a place and a time where you can escape the pressures and tensions of everyday life and take refuge with fellow teens.

At these nights we will have a time of celebration, teaching from local speakers, and the opportunity to spend time together and receive support from one another.

Our hope is to provide a place for high school students to reconnect and support one another in a safe environment. Our hope is that Refuge is a great time of growth, as well as a way for us all to stay connected. Hope to see all of you there.

If you have any questions about this or any of the programming we offer during the year feel free to e-mail Liz Pearse at . You can also call us at (425) 746-9110 x19. To get connected with other area teens and receive updates about Refuge please join the  Refuge group on Facebook.
