In 2019 we will celebrate 100 years of miracles and ministry as a camp! This means we will celebrate as a staff!
SAMBICA believes strongly in inspiring youth to a relationship with Jesus Christ and that includes our staff. As a result, summer 2018 will include the following staff enrichment elements to help serve, love, and equip our staff to serve Christ well and seek him with their whole hearts this summer:
Staff Excursions: Whether you grew up near Seattle or have never been to the Pacific Northwest, we have plans to help you experience this incredible area! Throughout the summer, we plan to give our staff opportunities to get outside of the camp property and see the beautiful area where we are located! These events may include, but are not limited to:
Covenant Groups: Covenant Groups provide the opportunity for our summer staff to spend time together in community and fellowship. These will consist of a group of less than 10 people that meet together for fellowship on a weekly basis, praying together, encouraging each other, and sharing about their lives, with an emphasis on building team unity and community. The purpose of these groups is to provide support and community for staff members so that they have an opportunity to build deep relationships and support and connect with staff from various teams.
Staff Experiences: Staff experiences will happen as weekly events for all of our summer staff to gather together and relax away from campers. We will create fun and spiritually-focused events designed to help the team draw closer together and engage in fellowship as a full team.
Bible Studies: Time will be set aside for staff to participate together in group Bible studies. Staff can choose which day of the week they will participate in a Bible study and have the opportunity to be challenged in their spiritual lives and to grapple with Scripture in a group setting to ask the challenging questions about faith and relationship with God.
