What’s the program about?

ADVENTURE: Step out into the world, unplugged and off camp and explore Christian faith foundations.
SERVE: Go behind the scenes experiencing service in various areas of camp.


Serve is the second week in the High School Program. The sequence of weeks is Adventure then Serve. Not able to do it consecutive weeks? No problem! Sign up for weeks that fit your schedule, though it must still be done in sequence.

After completing the Adventure portion of the program, you will get the chance to put what you learned into action. Continuing to build deep relationships with college-aged mentors, you get a sense of what it means to serve humbly as Jesus served. Receive community service hours as you serve alongside the SAMBICA team.


For all rising high school students entering 9th-12th grade who have completed Adventure week. Two mentors (male & female) will oversee students in their areas of service, working alongside them with the help of our High School Program Supervisor.


Overnight experience in the second week of the high school program. Students will spend the night in one of SAMBICA’s cabins. Each day will consist of daily quiet time, group reflection, service projects, night games and inspiring speakers. Students will earn up to 30 hours of community service while completing this week in the program.

Serving with the SAMBICA Team in an area of camp, which provides the best experience for each camper:

  • Kitchen: Contribute to the most used part of camp by helping the kitchen team in serving meals for each program. Serve with the kitchen team and campers in preparation and clean up.
  • Maintenance: Create new projects and enhance current conditions of camp for all programs. Serve alongside the summer facilities team with a fresh look of camp.
  • Housekeeping: Promote the up-keep of camp for all campers by working with our housekeeping team. Serve behind the scenes in an area that everyone knows.
